Today, plastics recycling in a circular economy perspective means relying on technologies capable of managing all stages - from collection to shredding the pellets - featuring the least final residue compared to the starting product. On this route, the European Commission recently adopted new rules to encourage the use of recycled plastics in food packaging, known as Food Contact Materials (FCMs) or MOCA (Materials in contact with food).
